A New Adventure

Those that know me well know that I've been a writer since I could pick up a pen, literally. (I won contests in first grade with the best story about a troll living in the woods; life altering, if I do say so myself. Haha.) I continued writing throughout high school and ended up funding most of my college career with scholarships through journalism. I've also always loved using a camera; but, my old professional camera was a bit outdated compared to the new digital cameras, and I put it away for a (not-so-great) quick shot digital Canon.

But, as an undergraduate, I discovered my other passion - law. I then made that my career path, and let my love of writing and photography dwindle. I recently picked up writing and have been doing freelance work on the side; and, much to my surprise, my mom gave me a wonderful DSLR camera for Christmas. So, while somehow balancing work, a new husband, preparing for the LSAT, and law school applications, I have decided to not let my love of writing and photography go down the drain, again.
That is where my blog comes in; I hope to continue photography and writing to possibly turn it in to more than a hobby during my first year of law school as professors highly discourage you from holding a full-time job. Basically, my blog will journey this adventure in my life over the next year and a half until I can (hopefully) begin law school in the fall of 2010.

These are a few pictures I've taken over the past couple of years with my cruddy digital camera, may it rest in piece as soon as I finish my DSLR manual this weekend. (None of these are re-touched in any way as I did not have a program until recently; I'll go in and brighten some colors and remove arms in some of them as soon as I get some spare time. For now, they're just for fun.)
